BubblePoP

A 2012 Windows Phone XNA arcade game resurrected as a browser game — pop bubbles, chase powerups, survive the levels.

BubblePoP

BubblePoP started life in 2012 as a Windows Phone 7 game written in C# with the XNA framework. Fourteen years later it got a second life: the whole game was ported to vanilla JavaScript and Canvas 2D so it runs in any modern browser — no plugins, no build step, no dependencies.

Pop the bubbles before they escape the screen. Miss one and you lose a life. Survive each level’s timer and things get faster, denser, and stranger.

How to Play

  • Click or tap bubbles to pop them — smaller bubbles are worth more points
  • Don’t let plain bubbles drift off screen: each miss costs a life
  • Survive the level timer to advance — speed and spawn rate ramp up
  • Click a buff icon or press Space to use stored buffs (Freeze, WipeOut)
  • Esc goes back a screen

Powerups

New bubble types unlock as you level: extra lives, life stealers, speed and slow clocks, freeze, wipeout, the mystery Pandora bubble, splitters, bouncing-wall bubbles, bombs, and the golden ghost worth double points.
